Removal of SUS304 fine particles transformed into martensite by the high gradient magnetic separation under dry condition

چکیده

Abstract The interfusion of impurities such as metallic wear debris has been a major issue in the manufacturing process foods, medicines and industrial products. Such originates with wearing stainless-steel pipe joints or mechanical moving parts. Since shows ferromagnetic properties by undergoing strain-induced martensitic transformation non-magnetic SUS304 (X5CrNi18-10), magnetic separation system is much efficient to remove from raw materials. In order study for fine particles, several kinds powder different magnetization were prepared controlling amount heat-treating powders. performance was evaluated high gradient (HGMS) experiments using multilayer unidirectional wire filter under dry condition. experimental results FEM particle trajectory simulations revealed that powders transformed into martensite removed at speed 0.1 m/s superconducting HGMS relatively low field.
